Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This website, tonymochrie.com, is run by Tony Mochrie, who is responsible for any personal information collected through it. This page explains what that information is, why it is held and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who to contact

Email tony@tonymochrie.com with any question about this policy or your information.

What this site collects

  • If you email me: your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. I use it only to reply, keep it only as long as the correspondence needs, and never share or sell it.
  • Security records: like almost every website, the server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. Repeated failed log-in attempts are recorded so that they can be blocked.
  • Cookies: this site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. A small cookie remembers your choice in the cookie banner, and WordPress sets cookies only for people logging in to manage the site.

Links to other sites

The site links to other services, including Substack (for Stock and Foil and subscriptions) and Amazon (to buy the books). When you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply. Any email subscription is handled by Substack, not by this site.

Where the information is held

The site is hosted by Krystal Hosting Ltd on servers in the United Kingdom.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Email the address above. If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
